The Rainforester - Pet Foods
Rainforester is an Award Winning start-up that is focused on rainforest conservation and restoration by supporting indigenous communities in Western Africa. Their aim is ‘to achieve this through the development and promotion of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs).’
NTFPs are classified as a ‘group of nature’s commodities that can be harvested without felling trees.’ By combining plant NTFPs like coconut, green banana, turmeric, moringa, mango, scent leaf, egusi, ginger and more with chemical-free, game (non-farmed) NTFP meats including wild rabbit, wild deer (venison) and signal crayfish they produce healthy, nutritious, low fat and protein & fibre rich pet treats for dogs and cats.
Why?
These treats are rich in protein, fibre, antioxidants, B, C, K and E vitamins, calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorous, zinc, copper, manganese and omega-3 fatty acids.
Anti-inflammatory ingredients for joint support and more.
They are low in fat yet high in protein with many treats low in purines.
No additives or preservatives.
Grain-free.
Perfect for dogs with gluten intolerances/diseases, eg. coeliacs.
Suitable for dogs from 4-5months of age.
Peanut-based and non-peanut-based treats. Baked to reduce fat.
So what?
Natural ways to keep your dog’s guts clean and healthy!
The plant NTFP superfoods support their skin, coat and internal organs’ health and improve digestion.
These plants also aid in the development and maintenance of healthy bones & ligaments while the chemical-free meat NTFPs provide a good source of proteins.
Food toppers are perfect for dogs and cats that have been weaned. They are also great for fussy & picky dogs & cats as well as those with allergies to common ingredients. These food toppers can be ‘incorporated into wet or dry food as well as various forms of enrichment.’
All their ‘UK NTFPs (crayfish, rabbit and venison) are sourced from wild species here in the UK that are invasive and/or wreaking havoc in the UK’s wild places & are having a negative effect on their ecosystems.
This is to ensure that our tasty treats that contain meat are making a positive difference to the environment around us.’
